PostSubject: Classic Sports Car Championships, Snetterton : Sunday 14th Apr 2013   March 1st 2013, 6:02 pm

Our first proper outing of the year will again be to Snetterton for the CSCC event.

I am in contact with Terry Scannell (clerk of course) at Snetterton again regarding us having a club parking area as last year. He doesn't seem to think this will be a problem, and will be asking the correct question of the people who make the decisions.

At this early stage there is no timetables available, however, I do know that 'Bernie's V8' series will be part of this event. For those who attended last year you will be aware of this series. The grid contains lots of American muscle cars from the late 60's and early 70's along with a mix of other V8 machinery.

Once I have further details back from Terry I will confirm whether it will be Sat 13th or Sunday 14th.

So the question is who is interested in attending and being part of a club stand ? I could do with a rough idea of numbers so as to move forward with Snetterton when Terry gets back to me.

Ta. Very Happy

Not sure myself on which day yet Nigel. Need to wait to hear further details from Terry Scannell. Will keep you posted.

Do you think we could bribe the Frenchies to keep Mr K there ? lol!

Hi all,

Quick update for you all.

I'm still in discussions with staff at Snetterton and am awaiting a timetable for the meeting so as to decide which day is best for us. However, we will be getting allocated parking again in the grass area overlooking the track assembly area.

Last year saw the inclusion of 'Bernie's V8' race series to the timetable, bringing a huge grid of V8 muscle cars and other assorted V8's to the circuit. I glad to say that this series is back again this year to this event.

I'm sorry I can't be more certain of the day at present, but would expect to see a timetable any time soon. At this stage just testing interest in attending the event and if one day is not available to any of you.

After asking a lot of questions but not getting much in the way of answers, I have had to make a decision on which day to attend.

As it was best for most, this year we will be attending on Sunday 14th. I'll be in touch with more details later this week.

MEETING DETAILS

Well still no timetable for this event so it's make it up as we go along !

Might I suggest that those wishing to go in together meet just before the pay booths at 10.30am on Sunday. If it's like previous year, the morning is mainly qualification so no racing to miss.

If your coming a little later we will be parked in the fenced off area overlooking the race assembly area. If your not sure where that is - over the bridge, follow the road right towards the pits, just past the toilet block on your left you will see a fenced off grass area. That's where we'll be.

Won't be in attendance unfortunately, which is a shame as there are a couple of Tuscans racing as well.
Have got the Griff booked in to have a session on this new Terraclean system. The one that Ed China from Wheeler Dealers is promoting affraid
There is an open day at TGA (Topgear Automotive) in Wolverhampton, so am booked in there.
Will be interesting to see if it makes any difference.

My God it was windy at Snetterton today. What a Face

Thanks to Colin, Mike, Peter & Beryl for braving the weather today. The racing wasn't that great, and no V8 series due to lack of entries. Good to have a catch up but glad to be home out of that bloody wind !
