Well after lots of faffing about deciding what to do, today i've ordered new drilled and grooved discs and Greenstuff pads for all four corners of the Vette.

Made a start stripping the old stuff. One disc and caliper off cleaned and ready for paint. Three too go !

I'll post some pictures as things progress. Laughing

Well here's the first update on progress.

Both front and rear drivers side discs, calipers and carriers off, cleaned up and part way through painting. The new pads arrived today and the new discs should be here this Thursday.

Here's a few pictures.

Drivers side front all stripped down.

Old disc, definately seen better days !

Front caliper after a bit of paint.

Caliper carriers back in position after a paint up. Oh, and no there not pink !!! Bloody mobile phone cameras !

Just waiting on these now !

Right, another update for you.

Had a really good couple of hours in the garage tonight. Drivers side is all back together now, and the passenger side is all stripped out and ready for cleaning. Only problem was turning the car around with little or no brakes ! affraid

Anyway, here's some snaps of the finished side.

Ian did you take your calipers off, as in, uncouple them from the brake line or did you paint them in situ? Need to do me rears ya see.

Lol! forget that, can see you removed them now. Will have to talk to you about it at snetters on sat. Very Happy

Well, it's all finished ! Had a small fluid leak to contend with on one caliper, but new copper washers sorted that (I hope). Had a bit of a run in it and all seems fine.

Oh, and look what turned up for me today !

Had a bit of a result on this. It was hidden away on ebay where nobody had spotted it. Going to try and get it on for Saturday, but not sure how it will go.
